What do you need to know?

Our member courses provide you with the opportunity to play golf at a variety of courses within the GTA. Playing with fellow members is a great way to expand your network as well as hone your golf skills.

What you need to know:
  • All courses have set tee-times for our members.
  • Members are responsible for booking their own tee times by contacting the course ProShop
  • When booking your tee time, be sure to identify yourself as an EWGA-Canada GTA Chapter member
  • Most courses’ cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to your tee time.
  • To ensure you and your fellow members tee off on time, it is recommended that you check in and pay green fee 30 minutes before your tee time. To Note: Pace of Play begins with check-in.
  • Each course is assigned a EWGA Course Captain who acts as liaison between members and the pro shop. Captains are listed below.
  • Please address all concerns (or kudos) to the attention of the Course Captain.

To Note:
  • If you book outside the allotted EWGA tee-times, you will likely be paired with the general public and any EWGA discount will not apply
  • By booking EWGA times we ensure members are not left behind.
  • Some courses will host tournaments which may affect EWGA tee-times or access to the course.
  • Where possible, alternate events will be held on week days/nights. Refer to the Events Calendar on the EWGA website for updates.
  • Details will also be made available through our EWGA Newsflashes.

Golf Etiquette:
  • Make note of your ball – mark it with your own original mark
  • Golf Carts – keep golf carts on path when at tee boxes and when approaching greens. Course starter will notify if carts are to remain on cart path or if 90 degree rule in place. Do not approach tee box or greens when other players are on those surfaces. (wait until they tee-off or finish putting)
  • Pace of Play – slow players should allow faster players to play through if there’s substantial room ahead of them. Pick up your ball after double-par.
  • Tee Box – regardless of where other players tee-off from, new golfers should tee off the forward tee box
  • Line of Sight – In tee boxes and on greens, other players should stand to the side, out of the way of the person playing. (not behind them)
  • Divots – repair all fairway divots with either sand from the cart or replace it with the grass divot
  • Bunkers – enter / exit from the low side of the bunker. After your shot, rake the sand smooth. Place the rake alongside the side of the bunker.
  • Greens – Avoid stepping on other players putting line. Do not stand behind or on a line of sight of someone who is putting. Golfers should avoid stepping within one foot of the hole.
  • Pitch Marks on the Green – repair them with divot tool
