Participation and Recognition Program (PAR)

Purpose:

Recognize and Reward EWGA-Canada GTA Chapter members for participation and, volunteering, at EWGA-Canada GTA Chapter events and recruitment of EWGA-Canada GTA Chapter members.

PARTICIPATION

  • 1 point will be awarded to a member each time they attend an event.
  • 3 points will be awarded to a member each time they attend a major event (eg. Kick-off, the Championship, Charity events, closing, weekend events, Border Cup).

 Responsibility for awarding

  • Members are responsible for signing in at member course events in the book at each member course.
  • Course Captains and event coordinators will submit the names of participants to the PAR Points Coordinator. 

 

VOLUNTEERING 

  • Receive from 1 to 5 points for volunteering with EWGA. 
    • There will be a maximum of 5 points per person per event/committee.
    • Board members can receive up to 10 volunteer points per year; 5 points for Board membership and up to 5 points for other committees.
  • The number of points will be based on length and/or size of commitment including:
    • 1 point
      • Volunteer for day or part of day at an event
    • 2 points
      • Volunteer for a committee that has up to 2 meetings
    • 3 points
      • Mentoring/buddying of new golfer – 1 point per session per buddy to a maximum of 3 points per buddy
      • Volunteer for a committee that has up to 3 meetings
      • Captain out-of-town Border Cup
    • 4 points
      • Volunteer for a committee that has up to 4 meetings
    • 5 points
      • Charity committee
      • Course Captains
      • Captain in-town Border Cup
      • Par Points Coordinator
      • Chapter Championship coordinator
  • Volunteer of the Year awards will be determined using PAR points.  Board members are not eligible for this award.

 Responsibility for awarding

  • Entries for volunteering must be determined and submitted to the PAR Points Coordinator by the Board member responsible for the event/committee.
  • Board members entries will be determined and submitted by the President. 

 

RECRUITMENT 

  • 3 points will be awarded for every new member you recruit to the GTA Chapter through our local Member Get a Member campaign.

 Responsibility for awarding

  • Membership chair will be responsible for submitting names based on the information received from the registration process.
  • Recruiter of the Year will be determined based on recruitment PAR points.

 

PAR Program Process

  1. The PAR program is open to all members in good standing at the time of the drawing.
  2. Points will be tracked and monitored by the PAR Points Coordinator and reported to the Board of Directors.
  3. Monthly prizes will be awarded from April through September for the member with the most points.
  4. Volunteer of the Year and Recruiter of the Year will be presented at our closing event.
  5. Winners will be recognized in Newsflashes and on the website. 
  6. Top points earners from the previous year will be invited to participate in the Border Cup event.
